Question:
Where do you go for health insurance?

I had surgery April of 2004. I was covered under state group insurance at the time of surgery. I was never able to go back to my job at the local board of education due to health issues. I was able to take COBRA plan with the state. The insurance was $250 for the remainder of the 04 year. This past January my insurance went to around $500.00. I tried to apply for insurance with Anthem and was declined due to surgery. I tried for the high risk state insurance and was denied becuase I was offered cobra. I still have cobra. It is very difficult to pay for the cobra. Has any one else experienced this?    — lkirkland1 (posted on June 17, 2005)

If you cant work due to health issues, cant you get medicaid/medicare??
