Question:
I am 5 weeks post-op. After half hour some meals I begin to hyper-salivate

Are these milk-containing meals? Or any meals? "Frothing" is what we usually call that and it happens when teh outlet is blocked. Does that seem to fit? If so, either the thing is not well chewed or it's just too much of it. It's possible to block with ANYTHING, though, when you're a rookie! Can you be more specific??

Thats a real good sign that you've "almost" ate too much or too fast. When that happens with me ... I can almost bet on throwing something up ... even if just phlegm because I swallowed something too large or just ate too fast for things to settle properly. Just try to eat slower, and make sure you chew your food very well! It's easy if you're used to eating on the run to accidentally snarf something down too quickly. Best of luck ...
