Question:
BCBS of Illinois Deciding on lower body lift or tummy tuck.

I'd like to here from different post ops that have had plastic surgery with BCBS of Illinois. I'm a year post op and starting to do research. Barix clinic in Belvidere does Tummy tuck but I don't think that will help with the rest of the Shar-pei look in the back. Looking for different insights and experiences. Also looking for info on Plastic Surgeons and your experience with them. Tummy tuck vs. Lower Body Lift. How long out of work. There is a plastic surgeon named Paul Dillon. He just did a friend of mine and WOW she looks great!! He does surgeries in woodstock, algonquin, and barrington at the Mercy hospitals. I highly recommend the lower body lift vs. the tummy tuck if you can get insurance to cover it or if you have the additional funds to cover it (since the tummy tuck is included in the lower body lift!) I had my belt lipectomy done two years ago, and he did the full tummy tuck plus took off fat and skin all the way around my waist. It was amazing how much is gone. Recovery is hard - probably the most difficult recovery of all the surgeries I have had. It is somewhat painful for the first few days, and the drains are a real pain. I had two in the front and two in the back for a couple of weeks.

I also meant to add that I had mine over the Christmas holiday two years ago so that I wasn't off of work for so long, but all in all I took two weeks to recover, but could have used more.
