i had a hard time with liquids also but in the end you have to see the bigger picture i am 6 months post op and i have lost 100 pounds and i feel great.. the things i liked to have for my liquids was wyler's garlic, onion and beef bullion and i liked all the crystal lites and soy milk is good. just try everything you think you might not like but you would be surprised what you like now how far out of surgery are you now?

I like the Silk soy -- if you are beyond your first week or first couple of weeks. You just have to shop around and read labels and try liquids in small portions prior to purchasing numerous bottles. If you purchase flavor water --Dansani comes with Splenda and the Kellog Water has a lot sodium.

I know it's hard, but it's so worth it! I am 3 1/2 months post-op and down 117 lbs. YOu will be glad you had the surgery, don't worry, just keep it all in perspective. I liked chicken broth, I also liked plain cheese soup (Campbells) and put garlic and some salt in it and cut it with non-fat milk. It will make about 3 meals for you and is good, I think. Isopur protein powder in vanilla is good, mix it with n/f milk, ice, sugar free chocolate syrup, some instant decaf coffee and you have a "mocha protein shake". I also used other sugar free syrups, like coconut and pineapple and Irish cream. Each shake is about 200 calories-- but like 25 grams of protein with no carbs. So you could drink 2 shakes a day and that would be your caloric intake for the day. Plus they're filling and the protein gives you energy. Hope I helped! Best wishes! Aaryn

Hi Brit, I can't tell really if you are pre or post op. Either way I just want to encourage you, stick with your doctors advice. Obeisty is a head issue with a body consequence. If you are craving, it is your head playing games with you. PLAY BACK! Read a book, find a distraction that doesn't concern food, or research food if that helps. Play back, fight the head game and don't let the mind game affect your weight loss. Surgery fixes your stomach not the lust and desire for food. That is a head issue you have to find daily. So, water, protein, exercise! Stick with it girl, you can do it! Take care, Patricia P.
