Question:
What about sugar?
I know there is a targeted amount of protein daily protein for RNYers. What is the targeted grams of sugar. How many grams of sugar can you have before you can expect dumping? — T. Preston (posted on December 22, 2009)

I was told in general no more than 7-10 grams of sugar PER meal. That is
not to say that each meal will have any sugar it at all, but there is the
possibility of dumping with anything over that... if you dump.

single digits, but less is better. Don't want our new body getting used to
it. try sugar free stuff..it tastes good once you have been deprived for a
period of time. I know not everything is s/f and you will get some, but
real sugar is different from say sugar in milk, fruit etc, the tolerance
can be different. Best of luck to you! hugs, kim
