Blood Clots from port-a-catheters

If a person has experienced blood clots in the past from port-a-catheters and IV lines, would the lap-band and port cause clotting problems?    — Valr1 (posted on December 19, 2005)

Hello, Val .... I, too, have had clotting problems in the past -- and clotting problems in the groin and legs ARE a major source of post-op complications for all Weight Loss Surgeries. However, my lap band surgeon kept me well-dosed with anti-coagulants, legs wrapped in elastic bandages, and I did super. Theresa
