I was 245lbs and 5 feet 2, my surgery was in 2004 (I think or 2003). I stopped at 150 exactly. At the end of 2006 I started to gain a little bit because of my constant grazing. I can eat about 3 cookies with on effect, but the 4th one will cause me to feel sick. If I eat 2 slices of bread I will also feel sick. I still cannot eat a whole sandwich in one sitting--or I feel sick. Hope this helps. Also, I did not exercise--at all and that is probably the reason I didn't lose more, but my clothes were size 10---which is a good size for me. Good luck!

I started out at 280 and stopped at 165. I've gained 10 over two years since and will go up and down with that. I can't finish a whole sandwich. I eat more than I did the first few months out but still get very full and if I push it I pay for it. Ice cream and milk are now on my no list. Sweets is my downfall but even that is limited. 150 may be where your body is where it should be. I'm 5'6" and my surgeon wanted me at 145 and my general physician said 160 was fine. Everyone is different. Just remember not to push too much food so that you still have your tool to work with. Don't be disappointed either. 90 pounds is fantastic!

I started at 223 approx. 7 mos ago and now weigh about 145. I still want to lose about 10 more and hope I can do it, however I could be done. People say I look fine and thin but my BMI still indicates that I'm overwight. I can't eat a whole sandwich and even if I could, I wouldn't.

I started at 280 on 1/13/05 exactley 1 year later 1/12/07 I weighted 144, it has been 2 1/2 years and I go up & down between 141-144. I watch what I eat and when I think i have had enough I stop, sometime I can eat a whole sandwich but it has to be very early in the day before 4pm, and I still don't get hunger pains and it has been over 2 years.

I started out at 244 lbs at 5'2 in November 2003 I had my had my WLS. I got down to 113 lbs after about 15 months but have slowly gained some because EVERYONE said I looked way to skinny and all my bones were sticking out. My surgeon said I should weigh about 129 lbs and I have been maintaining at 126 lbs. When I get the munchies I eat rice cakes or plain popcorn or drink lots of water and that helps my craving. Hi I had my Rn y on 10/25/05 I started at 279 I am 5'4. I stopped at 164. I can't eat a whole sandwich. I only takes about 5 bites and I am full. It is different with everything. Some things I can only eat 2 or 3 bites. Things like soup I can eat about 1 cup. I don't eat suger or drank soda or rice or pasta. Everything else I can eat. I guess I am lucky beacuse If I eat sugery stuff I dump. So now I dont want it at all. When I do want something sweet I eat suger free cookies. Or crystel lite fruit punch. You should feel super if you are down 150 from where you started you should feel super. Good job. I am so happy being down to 164. But you know what is funny at 164 I am a size 10 wow. I never thought I would ever be a size 10 again. I go in June 19th for my lower body lift I am hopping to lose 10 lbs then. and maybe a size 7 I am hopping. Who knows . I am just happy I am a size 10 now. Good luck and God Bless. Keep in mind it is not all about the numbers on your scale.

cut down on wheat bread even though its healthy its still carbs . try to eat dark green veggie and plenty of protein. eat 6 small portion meals a day. protein bars with less then 7 grams of sugar is great . no pasta for 2 weeks and bread or white flower and drink a gallon of water with lemon you will notice some weightloss. try it

I had my WLS 7/03 starting weight 243lbs 5ft 3in** Got pregnant 6 weeks after surgery but still managed to lose 80lbs during that time and lost weight for about the first 2 1/2years. I now go from 128 to 133lbs. I do work out 5 days a week for 1 hour. I can eat half a sub with no problem.

Hi, I started at 233.6, now at 164. I am 5'2 with a very small frame. I cannot eat a whole sandwich with 2 pieces of bread but I can eat half of the sandwich. I had a sliced beef sandwich today on a bun and ate 1/2 of it and a couple of bites of potato salad and was full. I can eat 2 fajitas- with 2 strips of beef, but thats only if I had a protein drink for breakfast and I am empty. It varies depending on how long before you last ate, most often though, my limit,, whether physical or mental is 6 ounces. But bread is hard for me to do a lot of, I can eat 1/2 of the top half of the bun and thats all, I usually pick at the rest of the meat until I am finished. I dont think you are done with your weight loss, you should continue losing well past your 2 years if you are diligent about what you eat and get your water and exercise. Good luck to you. Angela

I am 4'11". I started at 260 before surgery, lost 14 before surgery (239). Had my surgery 11/2005. I am now about 165 and seem to be stuck. I need to lose at least another 30 lbs. I try to have several protein drinks a day. I keep thinking I am doing too many protein bars instead of real eating. I have a hard time with beef, some breads. My appetite has recently returned, which is not good. Good luck.
