Question:
What if's.....

My doctor told me my A1C must be below 7.0. I was able to get it to 6.7! I'm concerned that I will not be able to keep it below the 7.0. What if I can't get my A1C in the ragnge? Also - the doctor told me that I do not have to go on a liquid diet prior to surgery, but my carb intake must be 20g per day. I am trying very hard to keep the carb intake at 90g! What if they are above the 20g? Just looking for support and tips.    — davenportcrd0106 (posted on September 11, 2015)

To keep your A1C under 7.0, focus on eating protein and keep to the 20g of carbs. I suggest the carbs that you eat would be from vegetables. If you focus on eating protein and get your carbs from veggies.
