You might want to check with your doctor because I still think you have to get in your protein. You maybe at a stall -- so be careful about what you decide to do.

My experience with vegan diets is that they tend to be high in carbohydrates. My body does not work very well on a high carbohydrate diet and I tend to gain weight. I think that as long as you get in the required amount of protein, you should be ok but I don't know that this is necesarily the best method of losing weight. If you are post-op, you should probably check with your surgeon or at least primary care doctor because you may have different nutritional needs. I'm curious as to why you are choosing to do a vegan diet for weight loss? Good luck to you.

It is very difficult to get enough protein on a Vegan diet. I guess you have to eat lots of beans and tofu.
