Question:
Help! I can't get over 100 lbs lost.

Is it normal to come to a dead stop in weight loss? I am 11 months out and I can't get myself to the 100lb mark. Help!    — Sunshine626 (posted on August 29, 2010)

How long have you been at a stall? That's all it could be if it is just a few weeks. What is your current BMI? Are you close to your goal? If you maybe your body wants to stay where it is. If not shake things up a little, more or less calories/carbs, more or less exercise for a few weeks and see if that helps. Good luck...and sorry to hear you are stuck...but probably just a stall.

I am at that same place! 15 months after surgery and seriously lost 99lbs... then Stop. I exercise, eat right... My body has been stuck here for almost 6 months and I go up a few lbs. and then back down. I figure I will have to really increase exercise, do a five day pouch test to get back on track... just haven't been that concerned. I figure my body has been through so much - maybe it needs to get used to this.

I am 5 months out and have lost 96 pounds. Now for a couple of weeks, I have been stuck. The holidays do not help and I love sweets eventhough they cause me to dump. I have to stay away from all sweets. Splenda is the only option for me. Sugar free stuff still has sugar alcohol and it does not agree with me.
