Question:
I need to find a support group in FL

I'm about 3yrs. post op and need help i'm gaining and scared. Does anyone know of any support groups in the Tampa, Clearwater, Palm Harbor area. Thank you in advance.    — mamita093 (posted on February 2, 2006)

My mom is two years post-ops and lives in Dunedin...she gave me the following info... >>Buddy Bypass Morton Plant Hospital - Tuttle Auditorium (next to cafe on 1st floor) 2nd Sat of each month from 10-12pm 4th Wed of each month from 6-8pm >>Buddy Bypass and Beyond Morton Plant Hospital - boardroom behind cafe 3rd Tues of each month I have both the phone number of the Bariatric Coordinator and also my mom....if you would like to contact either of them please e-mail me at [email protected]. I know that these are the normal schedules...but they are subject to change.

Jen, I'm in Tarpon. I don't go to support groups or know of any...but I'm getting back on the work out wagon if you need a buddy. I use the Y in Palm Harbor. Good luck to you.

www.wls.com has an online support group for people who are a few years out and scared of gaining weight back. Barbara Thompso, who herself had the surgery, mentors people. She sends out personal help pllus recipes and tips.
