Question:
I went for an hour full body massage yesterday.

I am almost 7 month post op open RNY. Yesterday I laid on my stomach for the first time since surgery. It felt really good while I was getting the massage, however about 1 hour later I had terrible pains in my stomach. Has anyone else ever experienced this?    — MARSHA D. (posted on April 3, 2002)

I could sleep on my stomach about a week after I came home from my RNY open surgery. Could be that the blood got to circulating and started "moving" things in your stomach/colon. I get full massages every two weeks and have not experienced any pains. I hope everything is OK with you. I believe the massages have really helped me.

I have massage frequently. I had to stop when I had my revision, but resumed again at 2 weeks.
