You are doing WONDERFUL!!! You're not going to get to 136 pounds in 2 months. When I started looking into the surgery I was at 296. Surgery date I was 286, now I"m 215 -- you will get to desired weight -- just keep doing what you're doing and all will be well. I'm trying to reach an even 200 by my 47th birthday -- next month. Trust me -- help you don't need --- you're doing just fine -- keep up the excellent work.

The average weight loss is about 12-15 lbs a month. You are doing better than average. Keep up the great work....don't forget to exercise, that is the real key!

I had an open RNY on June 7th which makes me exactly two months and one day out. On surgery day I weighed in at 294 lbs. and as of this morning I have lost 46 pounds. I think we are doing fabulous!! When was the last time you lost this amount of weight? For me the answer is never. There are always going to be people who lose faster than you AND there are always people who will lose slower. You cannot base your success on the gain or loss of others! Everyone's body is different! Keep your head up, stay positive, keep exercising and we WILL get there!!! Love to you! Martina

The only "help" you need is mentally...you have to know you are doing really well....ok, when's the last time you lost 46lbs in 2 months???? That's what I thought, never! That's nearly a pound a day! Come on! That's fabulous...get to a shrink because you need to adjust yourself fast. How are you going to handle being skinny? Get that fat girl outta your head and start now so when she arrives you can deal with her!!! Keep going...LOSER! LOL

You are doing great. It seems slow, but really isn't. I started at 295 and after 8 months I have lost 104.

You are doing awesome!! I am a little over 3 months out have lost almost 60lbs and at first felt the same way. Don't worry we are doing just fine! Remember you did not put on the weight overnight and it won't come off overnight. We are just blessed that we found a fabulous tool to help us get our lives back! You are definitely sitting on the losers bench and that is fabulous!

I felt the same as you, except I was not losing as fast as you. Everyone I knew lost 100 lbs within 9 mos, but it took me over a year. Everyone is different. Some weeks I would loose just a tiny bit, then other weeks I would loose a bunch; just keep up your protein and lots and lots of water. Eat every 2-3 hours to keep up your metabolism. My doc fussed at me for not eating more frequently...it helps in the weight loss.
