Question:
Has anyone tried Proteinex as a protein supplement?

I am 5 years post op and haven't gained a pound since surgery. I am 123 lbs and I never used protein drinks. I don't know how long you are Post Op but protein drinks are OK for the liquid diet after WLS. But to continue on them for any length of time is not good. Protein supplements are made for Body Builders to Bulk up. Not for someone trying to lose weight or maintain there weight. Eventually your body gets use to them and you will gain all your weight back. Everyone I know that used them has gained there weight back after a few years. You are much better off getting your protein from food. Eat small, Eat all day as this surgery only works if you do eat. Always eat protein first. (Eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, cheese, meat etc) Good Luck. This is only my opinion everyone else may tell you different.
