Question:
Has anyone in NJ experienced problems with Dr. Abkins office staff

Dr. Abkin seems to be a wonderful Dr. but his office staff isn't doing a great job reflecting his good image. If anyone has any advice on how to get some answers on insurance approval, or how to get someone to call me back to answer my question please let me know. I have my first consultation w/Dr. Abkin on Friday. I have spoken to one person in his office -- I don't know her name, but she was very helpful. I expressed an interest in VBG (fleeting :o))and I got a pretty quick appointment. I know I want the RNY now, but I want to at least meet the surgeon in the near future, so I am keeping my appt. She said they were scheduling consultations for RNY for September -- they are so backed up. Sorry to hear it's going so slow. My sister-in-laws father is head of obstetrics at Morristown Memorial and he highly recommended this practice for the surgery. Good Luck!

I had a comoletly wonderful and professional experance with the Dr and his staff. They helped me out on all levels and did a great job for me. I know at one point I was very anxious about the surgery and I was a real pain in the ass, but they were very understanding. Speak with Joanne and I'm sure that she will help you all she can.---- Good Luck
