Question:
BCBS/PPO cover Post-Op skin removal?

I have consulted with a surgeon and am trying to get approved for surgery, but I dont nwant to be stuck with alot of sagging skin after surgery, and no way to get it removed. Has anyone gotten covered for this prior to having surgery?    — Brian N. (posted on January 26, 2003)

I have Anthem BCBS PPO and am having to pay 100% of my surgery. And when that happens you can't even go on sick leave at work. I'm having to use all my vacation for the year. In order to have your surgery covered they say you have to have a rash or some other horrible complication, which I do not (I use a lot of powder). Good luck!
