Question:
Scheduled for BR on 6/8-Long Post-Bunch of Questions-SCARED???

I'm 5'6 233 Wearing a 18 bottom and a 14/16 top (XL)or XXL sometimes because of my girls-anyways I'm down 153lbs from 388 2yrs ago and still want to lose another 40lbs-My stomach area is not protruding but it is not flat by any means I have to wear my pants and jeans over my belly fat or else it would look really bad-but I don;t have a big panni at all-I am just wondering if when I go in for the BR will it make my stomach seem bigger than it is-I'm starting to wonder if my breasts being big balance out my stomach-will it be in reverse now??? I wear a 40-42DD and used to wear a 48DDD. I am also wondering if I should mention to the surgeon my concern about the fat in the bra/back area-will he remove that-I have heard of some patients saying that their surgeons did it for them-I am having the insurance company pay for my reduction-Doc says I will be about a C or D but the surgery only changes the cup size not the number??? Will I be disproportioned now-where my stomach is more noticeable since my breats won't be-Did the BR actually make people look/feel smaller now that they aren;t lugging their boobs around-did the scale go down-I'm sorry for all the questions-Just a nervous nellie. 24 years old, scared and excited-Tori    — TotallyTori (posted on April 8, 2005)

Hi Tori, congrats on the weightloss. I went from a 52FFF 42DDD post op to a perfect perky 38C following breast reduction. wow what a differance, I now wear really cute bra tops in juniors (I'm 45 years old) and cute tops I could have never worn before in my life. My ps was great, she also removed the flab under my arm pits and around back as far as she could reach, so Im flat on the sides and my back. I have a nice figure to go along with the tt. You might as well have a tt or panni if your insurance co will cover it, but regardless the smaller breast will make you look smaller too, and up where they belong. Both of my daughters are going to have bR the oldest will hve hers this summer and my youngest is now post wls and she will as soon as she reaches goal. good luck to you, you might visit the plastic surgery forum here on obesityhelp, they are a great bunch of people, that can answer your questions too.
