Question:
Was denied tummy tuck with my ins. com., was wondering if it is a good idea to fight

hi there i was denied the forst time with my insurance (tricare) i re-grouped and had my pcp put in for pt for my back aches and went to him every time i got a rash under the skin document every thing then try agian i tried agian after 6 months of documentation and then had my pcp write a letter of medical nessecity along with my pt writting one as well and it helped i had a raging rash when the ps took the pictures to submitt to the insurance co... hope this helps i am 5 week post op from a full tummy tuck and it was the hardest surgery i have ever had so research it well.. i have had wls and a breast reduction and lift plus a few other surgerys and by far this has been the hardest to recover from..... good luck

ALWAYS fight the denial at least 2 or 3 times. You want to get to the peer review committee. These are people, just like yourself, you make a decision on you. There non medical people and they will be more understanding of your problems then the medical director.
