Question:
When will it get easier to swallow after a VBG type surgery?

My dr. combines the vbg with the rny. what i would like to know from those who have had the VBG is does it get easier to swallow as time goes by. I am having trouble swallowing the smallest pills and anything i eat that is more solid than cottage cheese seems to come back up. As i eat, i can feel the food sitting in the band and it is so uncomfortable. I am cutting tiny peices, and chewing to mush. any advice would be appreaciated. I would suggest talking with your doctor. I had the VBG at the end of January and have had no problem swallowing food. You just have to chew, chew, chew. So I would strongly suggest talking with your doctor.
