I don't know the answer for sure. I don't think it will do anything to your surgical site, but, it may make you very sick to the stomach. I saw someplace where someone mentioned a few months out they tried the tilt a whirl and got pretty sick. The surgery makes some people a bit weak in the stomach for a while. You probably could give it try, and see how it goes. I would maybe work my way up to it and see how it goes. Have a great time.

I went to Six Flags at right around 8 - 9 weeks post-op, and did not have any problems. The only soreness I experienced was from an old-fashioned wooden roller coaster where the bar was still a bit snug and rested across my scrambled intestines. All of the modern coasters with the big shoulder type harnesses were comfy as could be, and I had a blast (especially thrilled with not having to worry about whether they would close)! -Kate-

I went to Hershey Park when I was about 11 weeks out and had no problem with the rides. For me, i had always in the past (pre surgery) had to take dramamine due to motion sickness. I forgot it and rode just about everything with no problem at all......and I LOVE those roller coasters!!! Last year I couldn't fit in some of them so this year I rode them all!!! Hope you have a great time.

I went to Busch Gardens at about week 8 and really rode only a few of the water rides. Prior to surgery, I was hesitant to ride as I was scared I wouldn't fit and rides made me feel sick. Of course, I loved them as a kid. But, I was a little leery of all the warning signs listing pregnant women, recent surgery, heart problems, etc. I did fit much better and my kids were very pleased that I rode with them. I had a great time and we were there 12 hours and I did quite well stamina-wise. Go, do what you feel comfortable with, and watch/wait for your family when you don't feel like riding a particular ride. There are some great shows as well! Have fun.

I would not. You are supposed to wait 8 weeks to lift over 10 pounds, during which you are not to vacuum, move furniture, etc. You will FEEL like doing more - espeically with laproscopic surgery. But, if you do, you will be at a high risk for hernia. Remember, the same amount of INTERNAL cutting was done and needs to heal properly. At the end of 8 weeks, you can GRADUALLY add more weight and activities. At nine weeks, to get on a roller coaster with all the jerking it does would not be 'gradually' adding -- at least not in my book. Go to Six Flags, but save the wild things for later down the road! Best wishes.
