Question:
Where can I get Jarrows protein powder and does it work well in hot foods?

I have been experimenting with protein powders in hot foods without a lot of success. I tried powder in sugar free hot chocolate, and it all floated to the top like some terrible dough! I like protein supplements in my diet, so any direction would be appreciated. Thanks.    — sheron H. (posted on December 11, 2002)

hiya. i live in a small area so i have to get mine online. i order it from: http://www.vitamintrader.com the trick with the jarrow's is to stir, stir, stir! when you add it to something hot, like soup, it will kinda float around so you just keep mixing and cooking and it'll mix in. i make a coffee protein drink in the morning but i found that it's best to put the protein in the cup THEN add the coffee - stir stir stir and then i keep the spoon in and stir right before drinking since it tends to settle on the bottom. i use 1 tbls jarrows, 1/2 scoop EAS Advantage Muscle Enhancer series chocolate whey, 8-12 oz coffee and heavy whipping cream. i have a lot of recipes on my website that have the jarrows added to the meals...check it out i hope it will help you some. http://www.geocities.com/katebme2002 good luck! kate open rny 6-14-01 pre op: 268lbs goal: 135lbs current: 126lbs

Hi, I read about this at OSSG at yahoo. Protien supplements are not to be taken hot. SOemthing about the protien degrading. I was considering the cocoa idea too, but then I read that a post in the other support group.
