Question:
Seeking Others With Affinity healthplan through Medicaid

I am 25 Years old and I weigh 407lbs. I have been overweight my entire life. I never really made it that big of a deal until I had my two children. Now that I have these two wonderful people to watchover I need help badly. I would like to stay alive long enough to see my kids grow into happy, healthy adults, unfortunetly I don't see it happening that way unless I get this surgery done. If anyone has Affinity or any other healthplans through medicaid and you have already had the surgery can you please give my some suggestions as to what doctor to go to that accepts it. Hi, Bobbie I had my surgery about 4 and a half mths. ago and I had firstguard medicaid thru the state I live in, which is Missouri. They were very nice and I got approved in about a week. I found a surgeon in my area that took medicaid. You didn't mention what state you lived in, so the only thing I can tell you to do is to go at the top of the page an dclick on find a doc and then click on the state you live in then search for a surgeon that way, then click on a surgeon and it should tell whether or not what ins. he or she accepts. You can also go to the top of the page and click on insurers and then your state that you live in and it wil give a list of members in your state and and a list of diff. ins. co. they had gone thru and whether or not they got approved for the surgery, you never know yours might be on there!
