Question:
Getting Bronchitis, and supposed to see pulmonologist!!

I see the pulmonologist on September 8th!! I'm going to beg for the antibiotics tonight, but does anyone have any remedies that might shorten it?? I need to do well because my surgery is scheduled for October and I do not want to put it off!! Any advice at all would be helpful!    — Michelle J. (posted on August 28, 2003)

I get bronchitis all the time, and as long as they give you antibiotics, it should clear up within 2 weeks. At least mine does when I'm on meds.

I don't know if this will help you, but I got bronchitis a few weeks before my surgery. I have asthma and I get bronchitis several times a year. They gave me an new inhaler called Advair and it really cleared my lungs after just a few days. Maybe you can ask the doctor about it. Sheryl - Lapband 4/16/03
