Question:
Does anyone know of a person who has has a blood cancer that had surgery?

Does anyone know of anyone who has a blood related cancer such as multiple myeloma or leukemia who has had weight loss surgery and is doing okay?    — Valr1 (posted on June 14, 2004)

Valerie, I can not answer your actual question. But I wanted to let you know that I read your profile where you requested to hear from others who have been complication-free. Well, that would be me!!!! I am 3 1/2 years post op and living a wonderful life. I sailed right through my post op period and lost weight very rapidly. I feel so normal now as I keep up with my very active family. Again, I'm sorry I can not contribute to your posted question, but wanted to give you encouragement anyway!! Good luck!! Shelley

I don't have a blood-related cancer, but I had Non-Hodgkins' lymphoma in 1995 - treated with chemo and currently in remission since then...JR (open RNY 07/17/02 -214# since surgery, -227# total, AT GOAL!!!)
