Question:
Has anyone out there had the new 1cc micropouch with transected stomach surgery

I am waiting for approval for this surgery and i was wondering how successful it has been for you? I have looked to see if any other Dr's are doing this surgery except for dr sapala and dr wood and have not found any so of course this makes me a little anxious.Hopefully this is going to have less of a revision rate. I know of a woman who had this surgery with Dr. Sapala about 3 months ago and she doesn't seem to be doing very well. She has lost a large amount of weight but doesn't seem to be very healthy at all. When she had to have knee surgery, she found that she is terribly anemic. Apparently she isn't absorbing any of the iron in her food. She gets sick from a lot of things and just doesn't seem to be doing very well over all. In fact her daughter has asked me about the open RNY that my husband has had and I am having because she said that if it is anything like what her mother had, she isn't at all interested!

I HAD THE MICRO POUCH ON 1-25-00 AND HAVE LOST 90 POUNDS. I AM VERY HEALTHY AND HAVE NEVER HAD MORE ENERGY. ALL MY LEVELS ARE GOOD. I FEEL GREAT AND MY BMI HAD GONE FROM 48 TO 33. E MAIL ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION.
