Question:
Am I prone to have a blood clot and possibly die---because

I had a blood clot in my leg a few years ago and was layed up for 10 days with shots every day. I did go through a gall bladder operation and they gave me shots every day for 4 days I was there. Everything ok sense. Any comments?    — Karen A. (posted on January 24, 2002)

My doctor told me that I was prone to blood clots also. Although I had never had one. I found out later that he is a fantastic doctor! He put a "Greenfield Filter" in me as a profalactic, and I did get a blood clot! I was in hospital for 4 weeks. BUT, I did not die!
