Question:
Please pray for me!

I just had my phyche evaluation yesterday. On Aug. 22 I o for my EKG, blood work and chest x-ray. I need your prayers that my ins. will cover this surgery. All I do is think of this surgery and cannot motivate myself to get out of bed. I'm eating more and more and being less and less active. I have no energy. Does anyone out there relate to this. Please keep me in your prayers. I don't know what will become of me if I don't have this surgery. Thanks.    — Lillian G. (posted on August 10, 2000)

Hi Lillian! Hang in there! I too was paralyzed waiting for insurance approval and a date. So I kicked myself in the butt, because I knew that waiting would only make the time pass more slowly. Prior to my surgery date, I began collecting and painting and refinishing garage sale tables. It was inexpensive and time consuming, and I was very proud to show off my work when I was done. It will also keep your mind off food as well. I ate everything in site, but by the Grace of God, I didn't gain any additional weight prior to the surgery. Also, I began exercising by dancing in my house to my favorite rock-n-roll! I really think this exercise helped strengthen me for the surgery, as I came out with flying colors and no complications. Remember, what you are going through is common, but you don't have to go through it....Find something to do, it will make you feel better.
