Anyone know of a support group in Jacksonville, Florida

Hi Sharon. Try the North Florida Weight Loss Surgery Support Group. Their web site is http://jaxweb.com/nfwlss/ and they are listed in Yahoo Groups. Hope this helps -- good luck!

I'd be willing to join if you find one or want to start one! The only "support group" I know of is the one that Dr. Yasrebi has on the first Tuesday of each month. It's really not a "support" group -- it's more a required before surgery meeting so everyone who is pre-op can ask questions before their appointment with the doctor. Please let me know if you find another group!

Hi. I am 5 weeks post op, Dr. Vaughn from the Jupiter medical center is my surgeon. There is a support group being put together up here through the JMC. The woman's name is Pam Helqueist. The last time I e mailed, they said they would talk one on one, as they were still trying to get enough people to attend a support group..there was not a lot of attendance at the meetings.
