Question:
What was the experience of plastic surgery like?

I'm scheduled to have the arm skin removal and then I was approved for the abdomen, back, and thighs so that will be scheduled soon. I'm getting scared and I'd like to know what it's like - painwise compared to the wls. I'm also wondering what peoples' results were like.    — Christi F. (posted on February 12, 2003)

I had an abdominoplasty on 11/19/02. It's an amazing transformation, it's just so much fun! Well, the pain for me was worse than the RNY, but once I realized that if I took my percoset every 4 hours, as prescribed, no problemo! I'll be having a breast reduction, and turkey neck removal in the near future. Enjoy your new bod!

I had my arms done on 1-16-03, the pain wasnt that bad, i had the skin removed and liposuction $4250.00, the first few days are the hardest because i have to wear a garment and had them wrapped in ace bandages, their was a lot of restricted movement, the pain pills helped a lot. but my boyfriend had to feed me and brush my teeth for the first couple of days, i couldn't bend my arms. but it was all well worth the money and pain to go sleeveless this summer, i have bc/bc fed insurance and i'm wondering if i can get them to pay for my tummy tuck. good luck to you!

I'm almost 4 weeks out from a breast lift and lower body lift (abdominoplasty, thigh lift, buttocks lift) and my results were outstanding. Far better than I expected. The pain was less than my lap RNY, but lasted longer. TAKE YOUR PAIN PILLS ON TIME for the first week and you'll be fine.

I had a full abdominoplasty and liposuction on my arms and I thought it was MUCH easier then the Lap RNY. There not cutting into muscles, there just cutting the skin.

I had a breast reduction w/ liposuction under my arms and it was not a cake walk for the first week or so, but after that it was fine. Kinda like having a baby. Yeah, it hurts a little, but the results are so wonderful that your body seems to forget the pain. Good luck to the new beautiful you! Congrats!
