Question:
4 weeks post-op TT and some lipo...

And I was worried about still having this little 'pooch' to my belly...Kinda of like a woman who hadn't been obese but had a couple of kids? I was just afraid I'd never really have a flat tummy...but looking through the library I think (hope) it's just post-op swelling, and will pass...Anyway, the only other thing bugging me is that my pubis/mons area where I had two drains feels kind of 'lumpy', with some firm areas to it...Is this normal?? I haven't found any other postings regarding this feeling...    — Kimberley E. (posted on February 6, 2005)

are you wearing your long line girdle? that will smooth you out and get rid of the lumpy. you want you skin to adhere to the new muscle under the fat that was removed. i had to wear mine 23hours a day for several weeks..more like 2 months befoe i went to 12hours a day with it. all the best!Tracey

I just had a lower body lift with includes a TT. You will not be completely head for at least 6 months to a year. You should be wearing a pressure garment that goes from under your bra area to your butt. This should be worn all day and then you can switch to the wrap garment that you worn in the hospital. This keeps down the swelling. You will have numness for some time. The lumps you are feeling may be liquid build up. Talk to your PS about this. Please remember everyone is different. I had my surgery on December 10th and had all for drains removed by December 24th. I had very little pain. Walking is very good and suck in that stomach when you walk (wear the pressure garment). It takes months before you will see the complete results. 4 weeks is just a drop in the buck. IT TAKES TIME!
