Question:
Has anyone lost 100 pounds and not had to have a tummy tuck?

Skin is genetic to a degree, but I wanted to know the best I can hope for. Wouldn't it be nice to have it come back enough to not have to have a tummy tuck?    — Sandra S. (posted on April 7, 2003)

Hi! I unfortunately carried my weight mainly in the stomach area, plus having two c-sections I will need a tummy tuck. I am in physical therapy for my back pain and will be seeing a dermatologist for my rashes in the apron fold. I do have friends that had the surgery, did not carry their weight mainly in the tummy and will NOT need a TT. Good Luck to you!!~StephiAZ 7 1/2months -107pds and 61.75 inches~

I've lost a little over 100 lbs. I was almost 50 when I had my surgery. Thankfully, I have not needed a tummy tuck. I still have a bit of a tummy but not enough to need surgery. Good luck to you.

I have lost 100+ pounds- and though I am a bit saggy- I dont need a tummy tuck really- My tomach does not even sag to my pubis mons- I can clearly see all my body parts when standing- Now if only I could reverse gravity on my boobs :P

Originally, I lost 150lbs. and had a relatively flat and stretch mark free stomach. Even with my weight regain (I've lost 11 lbs!!!!), I gained in the butt...not the stomach or boobs. Weird, because before my wls, I carried most of my weight in the stomach/boobs.

Hi Sandra! You may have forgotten, but you've asked this same question twice on the same day. If you would go under Q&A, Last 300 questions...#24 & #29 are the same. Perhaps when you were trying to send it, it wouldn't go through.

Sandra, please feel free to post 100 times if you so wish. Yes, it would help if we ALL used the library...but you won't be banned if you don't. I'm as guilty as the previous poster in not researching enough before posting a question. I hope that if anyone ever wants to give me a few constructive pointers regarding questions and/or general posting in this area that they do it privately. Many of us probably feel like idiots already without having someone else point out our shortcomings to everyone else.
