Question:
Is it true that you shouldn't get pregnant after a tummy tuck?

So if I were to want to get pregnant a couple of years after the surgery, should I wait until after the pregnancy to have the panni fixed?    — M. B. (posted on June 18, 2002)

I am just here to give my opinion, I have no facts or Doctorlly advice to give. But my opinion from a mom of a 2 yr. old and pre-op, is that you should wait to have your TT till after your childs birth, probably a year after. That way you have some time to work off a little of whatever you put on during the pregnancy and they won't do your TT if your breast feeding until after you've finished. The TT will hopefully get rid of your stretch marks, if you have any, so why have the tummy tuck and then get stretch marks during your pregnancy? Also after my daughter was born, I lost most elasticity-spelling- in my stomach giving me a nice little apron of fat that hangs on my belly (not to gross you out). I personally would wait. Hope this helps.

My daughter had a tummy tuck about 8 years ago after her 2nd child was a toddler. 3 years ago she had another baby. Her stomach is still flat as a board and you could bounce a quarter off of it LOL
