Question:
Is there any protein drinks that you can make?

There are literally hundreds of good quality proteins out there. Ensure is high sugar, low protein. There are many, many proteins on the market, powdered, that are ghih protein, low sugar. You add water. Very simple, not expensive to use.

Sorry those all ran together. Guess I need to figure out how to make spaces... there are several recipies. Just look for the CAPS to separate them. I'll also see if I can email them to you. :)

Here is one someone gave me: In a blender mix the following: 2 C of 1% Milk 1/2 C Carnation dry nonfat milk 1 package of No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast ***This gives you somewhere between 23-25 grams of protein***

Hi Melissa, I'm Melissa too! I am shocked that your doctor recommends Ensure as I dumped all to hell with the 19 g of sugar in it. I'll never look at another Ensure for as long as I live! My son makes me delicious "Fruit Smoothies" with plain vanilla yogurt, skim milk, a little ice, powdered milk and whatever fresh or frozen (no sugar added) fruit you have in the house and it's amazing!

Hi Melissa, I haven't had surgery yet, but I do drink protein shakes already. I get mine from the net. A sight called www.quixtar.com. I get their Vanilla protein drinks. If you want to check out the sight you'll need an IBO number this is #3309482. That's if you want to try them. Their is no sugar and they taste great.
