Question:
I'm 16 months post op and need a body lift per my doctor.BCBS PPO Will they cover?

Hey yyou guys. I just left from my doctor today and he told me I definetely needed a body lift for the excess skin, and that my insurance MAY or MAY NOT cover it. I had really no problems getting approval tfor my gastric bypass,but I've heard so many horror stories about people not getting approved for their plastic surgeries. I just was wondering if anyone had any tips or hints as to if they will or wont, and or the conditions of the approval. THANKS!    — Miko P. (posted on July 29, 2003)

I'm only 3 weeks post op, but I was told that the University of Michigan has done free surgery just to get the excess skin for skin graphs.
