Question:
feedback on plastic surgeons in Columbus, Ohio

I haven't actually had surgery yet, but I had my plastic surgeon consult with Rob Houser and he seems great. He and his father are in practise together and my surgeon highly recommended him to me. Good luck!

I went to see Dr. McMahon first. He wanted to do an anchor cut with an incision that would have started between my breasts and went all the way down to my pubic area. For my arms he wanted to cut me from my elbow to my armpit. I said, thanks but no thanks. I didn't lose 120 pounds to trade one set of scars for another. I then went to Dr. Robert Heck. He spent a couple of hours with me and said for my tt he would only need to do a hip to hip incision because I didn't have a huge amount of fat and skin above my belly button. I told him about Dr. McMahon and what he wanted to do and he said that's the old procedure and is used when people have huge amounts of skin and fat above the belly button. He also looked at my upper arms and he said it would be best to do them in 2 separate procedures. In the first procedure he would do liposuction on both upper arms. Liposuction shrinks the arms down. Then in 4 months, he would cut off the excess skin with an incision just under the armpit and NOT down the side of my arm to the elbow. I went with Dr. Heck. He did a FANTASTIC job on my tt. He did the liposuction on my arms at the same time. It made a HUGE difference in the size of my arms. I had the excess skin cut off 6 weeks ago and even though my scar is a little longer then just under my armpit (my idea - not his since I wanted to have some ugly turkey waddle skin removed forever), it's healing nicely and I'm very pleased with his work. He has always wanted me to look my best especially since my WLS has made such a huge difference. I would highly recommend him. If you go and see him, mention my name and he will show you my before and after pictures. HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!

I went to Dr. Susan Vasko. Had my turkey neck waddle removed, upper arms, and TT. She did a great job. Her office is on Upper Arlington Drive right next to the Riverside Outpatient Surgery Center where she does her surgeries.
