Question:
What happens to the booty?

I carry a substantial amount of my weight in my rear-end (got the junk in the trunk!). What will happen to that w/ regards to skin, etc. Hopefully next year we won't be able to use my butt to put the turkey platter on! HAHAHA! Surgery 12/9/03.    — ScottieB86 (posted on November 28, 2003)

That is where I have always carried my weight. Butt and thighs. After losing all my weight....I have no butt. Yea, but ooooh. I want something...lol. Over the past 6-8 months my body had redistributed itself some and I have some butt....but as far as the skin is concerned its not as firm as one would like...but not like my tummy. Mind you, I have had two children so I expected less out of my tummy.

I'm lost around 165 lbs.... and I'm still BOTTOM HEAVY. Looks weird, but bring that platter around and I'll put my butt on it and you can call it a turkey. <grin> lol (I have to laugh as it hurts to much to look at it).

I cannot really answer your question just wanted to throw in that my booty is FINALLY bigger than my hanging gut and as soon as PS is done it will be bigger and postitioned correctly as I'm getting the lateral thigh lift as well as the abdominoplasty better known as a lower body lift or belt lipectomy. <p>My guess is if your derrier is as large as you indicate you will end up need the lateral thigh lift which does a 360 degree cut and lipos the outer thighs, butt etc. and lifts and sculps them into a shape they should be.

You know, enjoy your booty while you got it. Now that I've lost much of my padding, my a** HURTS all the time, even when I am doing something like innocently sitting in a cushiony chair.

- 83# and my rear has entirely slid down into my thighs. I am elephant looking, minus the tail, from the rear view. PS next summer for sure!

After losing about 60 pounds, I felt what I thought was something I had left in my car seat but after reaching behind me to see what it was, I could find nothing and assumed I was imagining it. A week or so later, I peeked at myself au naturel in the mirror and found that it was my sagging butt I was feeling!!

My behind has always been my smallest part. Even at 250+, I always had a baggy butt in my pants. Now, when I have my gym pants on I can see that it droops a little, but not too bad at all. I wish I could say that for my chest and belly---YUK!!!

Sag city!! Oh well, better than a "BIG" booty!! LOL Enjoy the cushion while you have it. We loose our precious padding with the weight lose!

I had to answer this because just this past week I discovered that, after an 80-pound-loss, my old butt is beginning to reappear again. I had a nice butt when I was younger and skinnier and I have to say I missed it when I gained weight with my children. I have been doing butt exercises though over the past month or so and I'm sure that has made a difference. Just clenching your buns over and over again wherever is all a person needs to do to tone it up a little, even as I sit I'm doing it (hehe). I still may need PS for some other areas but I'm doing all I can to avoid it wherever I can.

Your backside will look like a little old lady's butt! I am minus 93lbs. and always had a flat butt. Now it is wrinkled and flabby!

Scottie: I always had the "dinner table" booty syndrome, too ~ throw a table cloth on it and you could serve a family of six. However, after losing 127 lbs. I had no butt. I am now 21 months out and am seeing a little return of the booty. Thanks to Pilates, it is even quite firm. Not too shabby for grandma!

I've always had a HUGE butt. I was embarrassed by it. Now, my butt is the BEST part of my body!!! It's nice and round and looks great in a pair of jeans. I get told by guys all the time that I have a great butt!! It's VERY weird hearing it. I would encourage you to WALK a LOT!!! It helped me get to goal and then made my butt look great after my tt.
