Question:
Why do the scales stall when I ovulate?

I understand why they get stuck when I'm getting ready to start my period and stay stuck until I'm done. However, I've consistently noticed that they get stuck for a good 4 days when I'm ovulating! How come?    — ScottieB86 (posted on March 18, 2004)

TRhis is my own non scientific answer. 1. water retetion form the hormonal swings. 2. mother natures way of working for the survival of the species. if you become pregnant, and hit a famine, you have a better change of carrying to term if you hold onto your weight.

I'm not sure why it stalls. But if you're like me, it will stay stalled for about a week afterward then all of the sudden you'll drop 3 or 4 pounds. Don't worry too much, I'm sure you'll get going again.
