Question:
What about a revision to RYN

Can you have surgery over again to set up the same trauma for the same results as you had with the first surgery? I had a RNY with a low hook up already, but I was hoping for a chance to get the last of my weight off, went from 333 to 225lbs. in one year. I am short and need to drop another 80lbs. to get to my goal. My dr is great but does not do revisions to anyone who already has a low hook up RNY. Help!! But now 1yr. and four months out, I have stopped for three months now and I can't get it started. I had to go on steroids for my asmtha and I stopped altogether. What about this revision, Am I a canidate, who does this surgery, I will pay myself if I have to?    — Gail R. (posted on January 30, 2003)

Have you considered a revision to DS? I belong to a DS newsgroup and there are quite a few people there that were revised from RNY to DS when they didn't lose/regained. Take care.
