Question:
Can we eat grits instead of cream of wheat as long as they are low fat??

Our surgeon includes grits in his list of "acceptable" full
liquid foods for the first 3 weeks post-op. In true Southern fashion, they
were among the first foods that I had when I came home from the
hospital....cream of wheat simply pales in comparison :-) Best wishes!

Yes! I ate them constantly as a new post-op. I still do, and I'm out 15
months now. I also add cheese to mine sometimes (usually eat with just
salt/pepper). Being raised in the south, nothing beats good ol' Georgia
Ice Cream! haha.....I don't like cream of wheat, never did. Good luck, and
enjoy your grits!!
