Question:
I am really hoping to get an answer about this but I know it is kind of personal:)

I know I will need a breast lift and augmentation after I get to my goal weight but I have looked at tons of websites for breast lifts and have seen the more severe drooped breasts(like my own;( and the scars look really bad! Has anyone here had a breast lift and had severe scaring from it? Do you think that is better than having saggy boobs? And is there anything the PS can do about minimal scaring if you have severe drooping? Thanks so much ladies!!!!!    — Audrey W. (posted on May 23, 2003)

You know, I've just started thinking about this some myself. I can't imagine not needing something done. My hubby reminded me that we had seen something on TV within the last few years where, like the previous poster said, they went in from the underarms and the clevage, somehow, and essentially created a fiber/plasic (not sure of the material) underwire that lifts the breasts leaving only four 1/2" scars. It may have been new or awaiting FDA approval at the time...not really sure. If I end up wanting something done though, I would definitly research this option.

I had sever ptosis (drooping) and needed the big time incisions (under the breast in a cresent shape, up from the bottom and around the nipple. They still look great. You can't even see the ones underneath the breast and around the nipple. The last line from under the breast to the nipple you can see, but it looks fine. It will fade even more as I'm only a few months out. It's definitely worth it as my breast never looked this great, even as a teenager.

I had a breast reduction years ago. There were scars under my breast and around the nipple. But since then the scars have faded. My breast were so big i did not care if their were scars. I have not had WLS surgery yet but when I do and if I need a braest lift after I'll do it. Even if I have to deal with scars again. Good Luck

Scars fade. Mine are almost invisible now. You can't have a real lift to correct severe ptosis without some incisions, but the problem is very temporary. Email me directly if you want to talk more about this. hugs, Ann rny 9/10/99 260/124

I just want to say how truely amazing you women are!!! I so appreciate all your answers. I hope I didn't come off as sounding superficial about scaring. Believe me I can live with the scars vs. severe droop. Oh and BTW ANN... sagging thighs... WHATEVER!!! Good lord woman you look amazing! How old are you... 25;) Take care everyone, Audrey
