Question:
I have been having a pain under my breast.

I call the doctor and he told me to take something for gas. And if it dont get better call him and come in. I can eat ok and drink ok its just a pain thats there right under my breast. Anyone had this happen to them.    — maxine84 (posted on March 2, 2004)

The pain under my left breast (my rib cage) turned out to be an ulcer on my small bowel. If you keep having pain ask him to scope you.

YES, I HAD PAINS LIKE THAT ABOUT 6WKS POST OP AND CONTINUED FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS. I WOULD USE MYLANTA ANTI GAS AND THAT SEEMED TO HELP. MY BODY WAS JUST GETTING USE TO EATING AGAIN AND I WAS EATING SOFT FOODS LIKE STEAMED BROCOLI PURED AND CABBAGE PURED THESE GIVE US A LOT OF GAS. THAT WAS MY PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK

Hi Lynn,<br> I started having pain under my left breast yesterday. It doesn't feel like gas. It hurts to breath and to move. If you find out what it is, please let me know. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow if I'm not better. Oh...btw, I took a darvocet and that has eased it a bit, so it's definately not gas.<br> Hope you feel better. Linda
