Does VBG help you to lose weight as much as the other surgeries?

LORI, based on your question.you have not done much home work with regards to WLS and the different procedures...please take the time.your worth it.but non the less were here to answer your question to the best of our ability..VGB is the least effective of all....

You will not find many people on this site to support the VBG. However, we have to remember that this is just a tool for weight loss, not a cure all. I personally have had it done, and have lost 64 in less than 3 months. Also, many people have had it done and are still successful with it.

You must research, weigh your pro's and con's and decide for yourself. There is so much on the internet! I had VBG 3 years ago and Consider myself a success. But had I been aware of all the options, I probably would have, maybe would have chosen a different surgery. I am not down to my goal weight and had gotten off track for a while but I think that can happen with any of the surgeries. And now three years later I am loosing weight again. I feel great! None makes loosing the weight easy. The main thing is to research research research. Good Luck to You! Cindy
