Question:
Do the Dr's at UC Davis in Sacramento do Distal RNY?

I have read that for people with a beginning weight of over 400lbs Distal is the way to go. That you lose 90-100% of your excess weight and have a better chance of keeping it off. I that you have to be very strict about keeping up on vitamins and supplements. I will be having surgery at UC Davis and would like to find out if the Doctors Wolfe, Nguyen, or Goldman do distal. Hi, I'm having my surgery at UCD and I know several people who also had their surgery there. Yes, they do distal rny. Dr. Goldman said his standard for people over 400 is distal. Although, I hear Dr. Goldman will be leaving in June and will be replaced. Dr. Nguyen doesn't do anyone over a bmi of 60 because he only does lap. Dr. Wolfe also does distal rny's.
