Question:
I have depression and take medication daily. Surgery scheduled for July 31, 2001.

Has anyone had RNY and had trouble absorbing depression medication (i.e. Zoloft), then had to battle depression more than before surgery?    — Jill A. (posted on June 22, 2001)

I had surgery on 5/14 and take celexa for depression. I have noticed that I'm becoming very anxious lately and seem to be having a harder time with depression. I have to admit that I'm also having a lot of personal problems so who can really say if that's really it. I plan to call my phschiatrist very soon. Good luck to you. -41 lbs

hi i had surgery aug.29,2001 i take zoloft everyday i have not had any trouble they are really small they go down easy good luck with your surgery. its really worth it im down from 264 to 145 its almost been 9 months i feel great bye

jill i take paxil i dont think i really need it any more but going through my surgery my dr thought it would be good to still take it. i just had to crush my pills for 4 weeks and i was fine had my surgery on may 3,2002 lost 60lbs you will be fine just list to what ever the dr says.
