Question:
Who can answer this question about vitamins?

I am so confused and would like some imput from some of you who have had blood work done and are taking vitamins as to what kind of vitmains and what brand? If your blood work is good I just want to know if chewables are better powder or tablets or what? I know what to take just not what brand what is working for you? I am three months post op and my surgeon does not order blood work until six months. I just want to know what is best thanks.    — Charlotte J. (posted on October 17, 2002)

Hi! My awesome surgeon has me taking a fat soluable chewable vitamin called ADEK. It's an over the counter supplement, but it's not widely carried. My pharmacy orders it for me. It's an orange flavored chewable horsepill, and I take 2 a day. A bottle runs me just under $50 (ouch) but I just had my first bloodwork and everything is hunky dory. I also take b12 (1x day) Calicium Citrate (2x) and Iron (2x). Before my supplements were prescribed (at three weeks out) I was using Flintsones chewables. Boy how I loved biting Fred's head right off! LOL.. take care! ~Peace!

Many of us here in Phoenix, AZ. use a Walgreen's multi vitamin with iron 2x per day. They are about the size of an M&M, yellow in clor and cost about $8.00 for 365 of them. Ken
