Question:
ANYONE AROUND 400 LBS LOSE SLOW IN BEGINNING THEN SPEED UP LATER?

MY MOTHER IS ABOUT FOUR MONTHS POST OP AND EXPECTED HER LOSS TO BE QUICKER BECAUSE OF HER PRE OP WEIGHT OF OVER 400 LBS. SHE HAS BEEN A FAST LOSER IN THE PAST. SHE HAS LOST ABOUT 68 LBS SO FAR AND WANTS TO KNOW IF ANYONE THAT STARTED AROUND THAT PRE OP WEIGHT HAD A SLOW LOSS IN THE BEGINNING THEN HAD IT SPEED UP AT A LATER POINT?    — christina K. I too expected my weight loss to be a little faster. I started out at 405, and at 7 months out, I have lost about 105 lbs. It doesn't seem like it is really going any faster. I'm hoping that our weightloss time will last LONGER if it isn't giong to go faster.

At the time of surgery, my weight was 366. I lost very slowly at first but decided not to sweat it, I knew the weight would come off... about 2 months ago, it really started speeding up. In 6 weeks, I lost 24 pounds, and I hadn't lost that much since right after the surgery. I am down a total of 76 pounds now (as of last weigh in) and I know I have lost more since I weighed in. Just relax, the weight will come off.
