Question:
Need a Well-Known Physician - Reversal of Tube / Pregnancy after Surgery

Thisis a toughy! I had a tubal litgation in 12/87 (they were burned). I had gastric bypass surgery in June of 2003. I am aware I am suppose to wait a year before getting pregnant, however, I am searching for a good physician who would be familiar with my situation (reversal of tubal litgation / gastric bypass surgery). I am also looking for someone who also is fully knowledgeable regarding the nutrients in which a fetus shouldhave and the appropriateness of my nutrients. I spoke to someone who referred me to a Dr. Arthur Sesconga from Shady Grove Hospital, however, when I went to look him up the hospital said they had no one by that name or close to. I need some help. If you have any suggestinos or know of anyone who may be familiar with this situation, please email me at [email protected]. Hope to hear from you soon.    — Sammi G. I do not see how having WLS would affect reversing your tubal. The actual procedure that is. From what I can see you are in search of several physicians. One...someone that can reverse your tubal, which isn't always easy. Two, a high risk OBGYN. And Third a good nutritionist that is familiar with gastric bypass patients. The OB or your WLS sugeon will be able to refer you to the nutritionist, and your PCP would be the first place I would go to find the others. Best of luck to you.

Hello...I had WLS in July 2002. I also had tubal ligation in May 1990. As the weight came off my new husband and I had decided we wanted to expand our family. I went too Dr. Gary Berger in Chapel Hill North Carolina. He is absolutely the best for reversals. His succeess rate is high and better than Ivf any day. I'm not pregnant yet but we're taking a break until Feb. Best Wishes and if you need more info just e-mail me [email protected]

reversals of tubal ligations are rearely successful, very high risk of ectopic pregnancy if you can actually even get pregnant. Most ob-gyns will recommend in vitro fertiliztion as a better option with a much higher success rate.
