Question:
Is it possible to overeat and not get sick??????

I am 2 months post op and I feel like I am eating more than I used to be able to in the begining but I feel great and havent had any complications and lost 45lbs. Is this possible, to overeat and not know it?    — [Anonymous] (posted on November 18, 1999)

Hi. It's normal to be able to eat more as time passes, especially when you are so freshly post-op (as you are). In my experience it's not possible to overeat and not get sick. Good luck with your continuing weight loss!

Just be very careful. It is possible to stretch you stomach to the point where you will be right back where you began. My doctor explained that even drinking carbonated soda over a period of time will cause you stomach to stretch. Good luch and God speed

Hi, I am in almost the exact same boat as you are. I have lost 40 lbs. in 2 months and have been at a plateau for several days now. I have not been sick yet--just a little uncomfortableness a few times. I wonder all the time if I am overeating. I am now trying to really count my caloric intake to see if that has given me problems. I just feel like as little (amounts) as I eat each day and mostly low fat, I should lose. Good luck.
