Will I end up weighing 200lbs? Help

I am trying not to feel negative but I had a proximal rny a year ago (starting at 360) Now i am stuck at 204, and not losing the dr says I am done, I really hope not because I am still wearing 18/20. I hope this will not stop so soon..:( any advice or if you made it to goal i need encouragement. Thanks    — [Anonymous] (posted on September 18, 2000)

Well first I must say congrats on your 156 lbs weight loss!! What a fantastic job. Second, this is easier for me to say, but don't focus on your weight. Are you healthy??? healthier than when you were 360lbs?? Are your medical problems gone??? If so than be happy. I think you have done a wonderful job, and loosing 156lbs probably just added years to your life. 200 lbs is not bad, better than 360lbs. Like I said before this is easier for me to say than for you to think, I would probably be saying the same thing if I was in your position. Good Luck..

It's been my understanding that the window of opportunity lasts for 18 to 24 months post-operatively so you still have some time left. It seems like you need to jump start your metabolism with proper diet and exercise. Hope this helps. Good Luck !!!
