Question:
I was recently denied by my surgeon due to asthma, Has anyone else had this problem?

I have to go back to my allergist in I month for another evaluation. I am really feeling better than I have in years. I was surprised when the pulmonary function test was not as good as I expected.    — Cathy B. (posted on December 18, 2001)

I am now trying to get approved for surgery also and my PCP told me that because my asthma was so bad that there wasnt a surgeon that would touch me. Im not sure if you are taking anything for your asthma now but you might want to talk to your doctor about putting you on QVAR and SEREVENT..it has worked wonders for me and now the asthma problem is no longer a problem as far as my surgery goes.
